Our stunning new Residents’ Lodge has officially opened this week. Mayor Jim Boult officiated the village and Lodge opening event. Current and imminent residents were joined by the village’s local owners and staff, business and community leaders to christen the purpose-built facility.
Bob and Sue Farrell moved into the village in January 2019 from their home nearby in Arrowtown, and look forward to enjoying the new community space. “There’s a club bar, pool table, gym and spa pool”, says resident Bob Farrell “I may never go home.”
“We’re delighted to provide this outstanding new facility to our residents” said Managing Director, Aaron Armstrong, “And we look forward to expanding the facilities on offer as the village grows”. There are plans to develop a significantly larger community center later in the development.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a painting commissioned in honor of the first “pioneer” residents of the village. The painting, titled The Visitor, is the work of local artist David John. “We are delighted with the painting, which captures the essence of Arrowtown” said Robyn Frey, Village Manager.
The residents’s lodge is an interim community centre which will serve the first few stages of the villa development. Facilities include:
