New Residents’ Lodge Plans Released

13 October 2021

The local ownership team released plans for an expansive new Residents’ Lodge at the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village this week.

The Lodge will comprise 1400 m² of high quality amenity for village residents. Managing Director, Aaron Armstrong said “It will contain special spaces for our residents to enjoy – café/restaurant, bar, cinema, library, gym, swimming pool, spa and activity rooms as well as spectacularly landscaped outdoor seating and dining areas.”

Building consent will be lodged with the Queenstown Lakes District Council soon, with construction of the Lodge starting in the new year. The new Lodge will be located centrally within the 12ha site on McDonnell Road Arrowtown.

“The building will cost approximately $10m. It will be a wonderful addition to our village” says Armstrong.

Residents were delighted with the first look at the Lodge plans. David Johns, Residents’ Association Chair, said “The new lodge is going to be a great asset to the village. We are all impressed by the scale of the facilities, and looking forward to hitting the pool and gym. Of course, the lounge bar area is sure to be a winner.”

Village Manager, Robyn Frey, said “We’re very much looking forward to expanding the range of facilities on offer at the village. One of the most common reasons people move to the village is for the resort-style lifestyle. I am so excited about our bespoke lodge, as it will give us even more opportunities to add to the social life of our village.”

Arrowtown Lifestyle Village is currently home to over 60 residents, and is rapidly growing as the villas are completed. On completion Arrowtown Lifestyle Village will have around 170 dwellings – villas and apartments – and the Lodge will serve the expected 200+ residents.

Currently, village residents have the use of an interim lodge which serves the first two stages. The building will be converted into a larger residential villa once the new lodge is complete.

An open weekend is planned for Labour Weekend, when the public are welcome to drop into the village to view the Lodge plans on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
