Our response to COVID-19

The New Zealand Government has declared Level 4 of New Zealand’s four-level COVID-19 alert system. It is likely Level 4 measures will stay in place for a number of weeks. This means that everyone, including our residents, must now stay home, except those providing essential services.

At Arrowtown Lifestyle Retirement Village we are considered an Essential Service, and will continue to support our residents with a reduced staff team.

We want to do everything we can to reduce the risk to our residents.  Non-essential visits to the village are no longer permitted. To ensure we can properly limit people entering our village the entry gates are now closed 24 hours a day.  The village has been closed to non-essential visitors since 23 March.

Care givers and family coming into the village to provide essential support or supplies to residents will fall into the category of essential visitors and will be granted access. Visits should be to drop supplies at the door and should be short. Social distancing of 2m is recommended at all times.

We have closed our Community Centre for the duration of the self-isolation period, and all resident activities have been ceased.

We are in close communication with the Medical Officer of Health and are following all of their guidelines and recommendations.

We will continue to work closely with all of our residents to ensure adequate support networks are in place and to ensure everyone receives the support they need. We are here to help in any way we safely can during this very challenging time.
