It's Autumn Festival Time Again!
There’s always a delicious sense of wistfulness in the air as Autumn paints Arrowtown gold. Views of river, cottages and trees blend with the smell of fallen leaves and rich aromas from the local cafes to provide a sense of comfort as winter approaches. Our iconic annual event, the Arrowtown Autumn Festival celebrates all that we love about our place. This year promises to be a fantastic, action packed six days with something for everyone.
As a Gold Partner this year, the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village is thrilled to be involved in four key events, and we would love you to join us – read on for more information, and check out the full event schedule. Heartfelt thanks goes out to Catherine and the huge team of locals that make the festival such a great event.
While you are in the neighbourhood, do drop in to check out the progress with our new Lodge and find out more about developments at the village. Call Vicci on 021 442 105 or get in touch via our contact form if you would like to make a time to visit.
From Turkish guns, to clandestine tripe washing in the water race, Arrowtown is full of the stories you would expect from a town born of gold – so much gold that a nugget was found in the gizzard of a duck on its way to the dinner table. The best way to unearth the unique tales that don’t always appear in the official guides, is to ask a local.
Tour guides Oweena, Mary, Pauline, Alan and Marco will share delightful stories, anecdotes and the odd historical rumor, providing colorful perspectives on a colorful town.
We are especially thrilled to be supporting the Arrow Ambles as Oweena and Mary are pioneer residents of the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village and wonderful community volunteers.
